Muscle Metal Treatment MT-10®

In his email to us, Mr. Hill speaks highly of our representative, Michael Fertig, “I respected his enthusiasm and dedication to your company.” The two men met to treat various pieces of equipment Mr. Hill uses daily on his property. According to Mr. Hill, “Mike was prompt and helpful… I attempted to ‘shorten his time’ with me because I didn't want to waste his high quality time on low level labor. He would hear nothing of it.”

First serviced was Mr. Hill’s Sprinter with a Mercedes diesel v6 engine and Mercedes automatic transmission. He had been experiencing a vibration in the engine, reporting that “the ‘shake’ was being transmitted to the drive shaft, creating a very slight…but noticeable vibration at 45 to 50 mph.” The engine was treated with Muscle MT-10® and left to idle. Mr. Hill’s observations after taking it for a test drive: “To my amazement… the vibration was gone. I was truly astounded because I would never have imagined that ‘treating an engine through the oil’ could effect a change in the transmission of power through the drive line. But it did. Also, the engine seems smoother…especially at idle…and the tach reading indicates no ‘cycling’. So to say the least, I was impressed.”

Next they serviced a 2002 Chevy Silverado with a Duramax diesel engine and an Allison 5-speed automatic transmission. Muscle MT-10® was added to both engine and transmission. Mr. Hill explained, “I have been experiencing a ‘cycling’ or ‘engine lope’ at idle for about 6 months. This truck has received a new set of Bosch fuel injectors...and a new FICM (Fuel Injection Control Module) and, normally, the ‘loping’ is caused by a faulty FICM.” Much to his surprise, Mr. Hill reported, the "loping is gone." He and Michael drove the truck about three miles to the local post office. The truck idled as Mr. Hill retrieved his mail, and “there simply is not any ‘lope’.” The two returned to Mr. Hill’s shop where they let the truck idle while watching the tachometer. He said, “It sat at an exact rpm level of 650 rpm's. I mean, no variation…as quiet and smooth as I've ever seen in any engine. This, too, amazed me. Mike feels that when I'm towing… my readings on the transmission temperature will drop, too. I didn't get a chance to really prove that because we had no load on the truck. I am already satisfied, though, and firmly believe in Mike's assessment.”

Next was a Perkins diesel engine in an ASV skid steer, along with its hydraulic system, described by Mr. Hill as, “a turbo'd 86 horsepower, rubber tracked, machine that is vital to my work around my farm.” After allowing the engine to idle and utilizing the hydraulic lift bucket to recycle the hydraulic oil, they noted quieter and smoother engine performance and a whine in the hydraulic pump was lessened considerably.

Finally, they serviced two large lawn mowers that each cut at 17 mph, 6 feet wide, powered by 1000 cc Kawasaki fuel injected air-cooled engines. According to Mr. Hill, “These are monster performers… and are fairly new...less than 100 hours on each.” However, since the day he got them he noted a distinct whine in the hydraulics as the machine was propelled on its zero-turn chassis. Muscle MT-10® was added to each of the hydraulic systems. While the ‘whine’ did not disappear completely, it lessened. Mr. Hill said, “I ran these machines around my shop yard…and was impressed with the speed that they seemed to move...without the blades engaged. I can't lay that to your product...but it might be connected. All I know, is that I am now anxious to mow my property to give your product a chance to lessen the whine even more.” As a side note, “when we were servicing one of these machines, we noticed that a ‘control stop’ had loosened… and the machine would not control properly. Mike helped me repair that problem… and that had nothing to do with the customer service expectation. You've got quite a guy there!Yes, we know Mr. Hill. Thank you!
