Fuel Treatment FT-10™ in Oil Furnaces, Boilers and Fuel Storage Tanks

Fuel Treatment FT-10™ can be used in fuel oil furnaces and boilers, as well as bulk fuel storage tanks, with great results. This is an overview of these specific areas of application.

Key Features & Benefits

  • Blends with all types of fuel

  • Provides better fuel-air mix, increasing combustion of the fuel & fuel efficiency

  • Disperses water & moisture in the fuel & uniformly combusts with the fuel

  • Fuel Treatment FT-10™ contains Muscle Metal Treatment MT-10®, which provides upper fuel pump lubrication, extending pump life

  • Cleans furnace’s combustion system during operation

  • Cleans nozzles & pump systems

  • Dissolves & removes gum deposits from fuel lines

  • Inhibits formation of fuel gums & resins

  • Protects the fuel system from rust & corrosion

  • Inhibits fungi & bacteria build up in the fuel

  • Improves furnace performance

  • Reduces harmful emissions

  • Reduces fuel consumption

  • Reduces jelling & waxing

  • Reduces soot & carbon

Oil Furnaces & Boilers

Fuel Treatment FT-10™ cleans the entire fuel system while the furnace is in operation, eliminating gums and resins from the fuel lines and tank. It also extends the life of integral and active furnace parts. Once the system has been cleaned, rough operation will no longer exist, and fuel consumption will be reduced (with the exception of being a new system, already free from dirt and resins). A furnace with a clean fuel system will perform at an optimum due to proper missing of fuel and air.

FT-10™ breaks down, suspends, then removes water and moisture from the fuel system. This eliminates fuel-line freeze ups and rough operation caused by moisture in the lines. Water does not necessarily come from contaminated heating fuel. If your storage tank is not full, an overnight temperature change can cause condensation to form; tiny droplets of water adhering to the inside of your fuel tank will collect and accumulate in the fuel. Fuel containing water will cause rough operation and poor furnace performance as it tries to burn in the combustion chamber. FT-10™ breaks down and suspends the moisture in the fuel so that a more efficient burning can be achieved.

Another benefit from the use of FT-10™ is that it helps protect the environment by increasing the efficiency of fuel burn by providing a high state of oxidation.. This reduces harmful emissions, such as carbon monoxide, hydrocarbons and dioxins.

These are the specific areas benefiting from the use of Fuel Treatment FT-10™:

  1. Heat Exchanger:  FT-10™, through higher fuel burning and efficiencies, causes a higher heat exchange to occur, improving operation and BTU’s, thus saving money.

  2. Burner:  FT-10™ cleans the system and provides better fuel-air mixing, which improves combustion and efficiency.

  3. Fuel Pump:  FT-10™ cleans and lubricates, creating higher efficiency and longer pump life.

  4. Combustion Chamber:  FT-10™ improves combustion and reduces oil soot, keeping the combustion chamber and chimney cleaner.

  5. Blower Compartment: To extend the life of the motor bearings, lubricate every year - use Muscle Penetrating Oil SL-10

Directions for Use: Add 2 oz. of Fuel Treatment FT-10™ to the fuel for every 10 gallons of fuel in the tank. For best results, add FT-10™ to the tank prior to refueling; as the tank is refueled, FT-10™ will easily blend with the fuel oil.

Bulk Fuel Storage Tanks

One of the problems associated with fuel oil is its long-term storage. The growth of fungi and bacteria causes serious filtering and line-flow issues.

Treating fuel oil with Fuel Treatment FT-10™ can eliminate clogged filters and lines and prevent complete failure of automatic mechanisms caused by fungi and bacteria growth.

Directions for Use: Add 2 oz. of Fuel Treatment FT-10™ to the fuel for every 10 gallons of fuel in the tank. If possible, add FT-10™ to the tank prior to refueling; as the tank is refueled, FT-10™ will easily blend with the fuel oil.
